Central air conditioning in office buildings is one of the important equipment that provides a comfortable environment for office areas. With the continuous development of technology and intensified market competition, the variety of central air conditioners in office buildings has become diverse. So how do we choose the appropriate central air conditioning? Today, Sparkey Engineering will introduce some air conditioning systems for you. They are air duct AC, VRFs, modular chillers, and screw chiller. After reading their features, it will help you make a right decision.
1. VRFs
The installation of VRF central air conditioning is a costly solution and is suitable for people working in different zones and time periods. All indoor units in the room are installed in the suspended ceiling, which does not occupy the floor space, saving space, and is aesthetically pleasing, comfortable, energy-saving and power-saving. The outdoor units occupy less space and do not affect the appearance of the building. However, this plan has a higher initial investment than the air duct unit plan, but it has better energy efficiency for running.
VRF central air conditioning can be controlled separately for each area in commercial settings, enabling each system to operate more energy-efficient and energy-efficient.
A VRF system needs to reserve a certain space for outdoor units, and has limitations on the height difference between internal and external units and the length of indoor unit piping.
The indoor unit of the modular water chiller adopts fan coil units, using water as the medium, which is more comfortable compared to fluorine systems and more energy-efficient in use.
The prominent advantage of modular machines is that if it is necessary to change the layout of the office, individual changes can also be made to the indoor end of the water system, but the installation is more complex and requires higher requirements.
This plan also requires relatively small investment in the early stage. All indoor units in the rooms are placed in the suspended ceiling, which does not occupy the ground area, saves space, and creates a beautiful and high-end decoration atmosphere. However, this plan requires sufficient space for external units.
4. Screw Chiller and Centrifugal Unit
The installation of screw chillers and centrifugal units is a low-cost solution that is suitable for large areas (above 10000 square meters). Indoor units use fan coil units with water as the medium, which is more comfortable and energy-saving. If the layout of the office needs to be changed later, the indoor end of the water system can also be modified separately. However, the installation requirements are high, the process is complex, and specialized maintenance personnel are needed to carry out daily maintenance of the equipment.
